Do Something For You.
Think. Think again. Think a little bit more. What are you thinking about? Is it about work? Is it about that meeting you had this morning? Or is it about that nice meal you really enjoyed a few days ago with great company? I’m willing to bet it’s not the latter.
Another question for you: when was the last time you did something based on your passions?
Let me give you an example. I really enjoy Spoken Word Poetry, and last weekend I went to Brixton to enjoy an afternoon at a pop-up café immersed in the words of strangers telling their stories through rhymes that resonated in the room. I was with people with whom I shared a common passion and I was there exploring my passion as well. Not to sound harsh but, when was the last time you did something like this? If you have, GREAT! If you haven’t, would you want to change that?
Passions define who we are. It defines whether I want to enjoy healthy carrot sticks and hummus in the middle of the night (props to you!) or like me prefer a delicious tub of Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream. Of course, this is a very specific example, but you get what I mean. These passions help us bond with others that have similar passions. A fitness connoisseur or foodie, a home decor aficionado or restless traveler. If you know what you like or even if you don’t know yet, don’t you owe it to yourself to at least try to enjoy these things once in a while?
Again, you might be doing them already. If you are then you are many many many steps ahead of us! For the rest of us, grab your friends and do something together that you like and share your passion with them! Or Vieloco can help with that too ?
Don’t be a work-potato, be a passion-potato!
